Welcome to The Octopus’s Garden

Proudly serving Ocean County for over thirty three years, The Octopus’s Garden has been preparing an array of fine dining dishes with a unique approach.  Originally located on Long Beach Island, The Octopus’s Garden opened its doors for the first time in 1977.  Our new location is nestled on an acre of land facing Route 9 in West Creek, New Jersey. January of 2012 will mark our 6 years at the new location, with many more years of excellent service to come.

On any given night, guests choose from at least six to eight different types of fresh fish from all over the world, some caught globally and some caught from our local docks.  The selection is diverse and the quality is exceptional.  We strive to develop nightly specials that will entice any type of guest.  Whether you enjoy a soft, buttery fillet of fish such as Halibut, or prefer a firmer fish like Amberjack or Mahi-mahi, we have it all. The menu changes every night, and freshness is top priority.  Even the core menu changes slightly throughout the week, just to keep things fresh and interesting.  Our recipes and preparations are made with the finest ingredients and we pride ourselves on the healthy approach taken in our kitchen.  All of our seafood is ordered daily from our trusted local vendors.

Each week night is designated as its own “special night”.  Tuesday is Shrimp and Crab night, Wednesday is Fresh Fish night, and Thursday and Friday are Lobster nights.  On Saturday we offer half price appetizers from 4:30pm until 5:15pm.  Sunday night is Half Price appetizers and desserts all night long.  We also have live music from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you or one of your guests isn’t a seafood lover, no need to worry.  The Octopus’s Garden offers a wide selection of Pasta, Chicken, and Meat dishes as well.  Steak Dianne and Chicken Moutarde are both very popular dishes with land lovers.  We also serve Roast Duck, and Grilled Rack of Lamb.

In the last ten years, the demand for fine dining vegetarian and vegan food has grown.  We are meeting that demand with a ten entrée Vegetarian menu, as well as a number of appetizers to start with.  We have a variety of Tofu entrees to choose from. Gluten free diners are welcome to join us and have the luxury of ordering off over 70 percent of the menu.  Our goal is to accommodate each and every type of dinner guest possible.  If you have any special dietary restrictions, we are more than happy to work with your needs to assure you leave our restaurant happy.

Save room for Dessert! All desserts are homemade in our kitchen by Christine.  We serve several different homemade cakes and pies, all of which our old family recipes.  Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer.  We also have a small wine list serving local New Jersey wines from Sharrot Winery.  The wine list consists of both full and half bottles.  This particular wine list still allows you to bring your own if you wish to.
